Emma Thomas

Emma joined eftec as a Researcher in October 2023. She will support the team across our service areas and is currently focussing on creating natural capital accounts.


Emma holds an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from LSE and a BSc in Environment, Economics, and Ecology from the University of York. She is interested in conservation, environmental valuation, and spatial analysis. Her master's dissertation applies econometric approaches to estimate the impact of the Kariba deforestation reduction project using satellite data. She has experience working on tests for the Environmental Land Management Scheme and as a Research Assistant for the University of York.
